My favorite collaboration tool is http://del.icio.us/ , most of you probably use it already, but if you don't, please check it out. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. After frustration convinced me that I needed a central location for all of favorite links, I gave it a try. I now could not work without it. I have established many uses for it, one is of course for my personal use, but I also have established an account for the teachers in my school so that we may share links with each other and store the suggested links that enhance the curriculum. It provides access from anywhere and organization for us all. It also allows me to have a students page that organizes links for the students use. It saves me time, not having to load them on the network or create a webquest.

Online Collaboration Tools http://lifehacker.com/software/collaboration-tools/ Check out this link to find some interesting online collaboration tools. I took a look at FasterPlan which is still being developed, but seems like it will be a very easy tool to use with a simple interface. I liked ScribLink, again, very simple interface and very easy to use. I also took a look at TaskBin, which consists of To Do Lists, Group To Do Lists, a notepad and RSS Feeds. Here is an example of TaskBin in action: http://www.taskbin.com/todolist/index
There are so many Collaboration Tools being developed and most of them are free. Of course the free ones seem to be very simple and very easy to use with a limited amount of interactivity (nothing like Centra!), but if you are looking for a simple way to organize a group project or even plan a party, these free online collaboration tools seem like the way to go!

Free Online Whiteboard:
I signed up to be a tester for this site today. http://www.jotspace.com/default.aspx . For a F2F session I could see us utilizing this in a computer equipped classroom to save money instead of using costly flipcharts. This would be ideal for teams that are geographically dispersed.

Blogs about the good and the bad of email The Bad in Email talks about the flaws email programs have and why users seek other alternative collaborative tools.
Both sites are blogs, which is a collaborative tool that talks about the positive and negative aspects about email. I thought these articles/blogs were awesome because it gives you both sides of email.

Yugma
Following up on Shain's whiteboard idea ..... Here is a neat tool that will let you do synchronous sessions for free.
It is called Yugma. It let's you share your desktop and also have a text chat with 10 people for free. If you want to do a whiteboard I suppose you could just use Paint or another drawing tool and app share it with other attendees of the session. It is similar to Elluminate or Centra but much simpler. In addition, you can install a Skype plugin for it. At that point you have desktop sharing, text chat and VOIP for free. I have been meaning to try this at work but haven't gotten to it yet. If anyone wants to try it email me at bsnapp@lccc.edu, I would love to have some fellow "crash-test dummies" for this one.
Here is the demo - https://www.yugma.com/demo/yugma-demo.php

Brian S.--This Yugma demo is great. I love the fact that you can change presenters at any time and that it works with teleconferencing. The best part is that it's a free application. Excellent example of a synchronous tool that can be used by anyone around the globe. Thanks for sharing this one!
